Kundalini yoga is known as ‘the yoga of awareness’. It is a form of yoga that involves chanting, breathing, exercises and repetitive poses. Its purpose is to activate the kundalini energy or spiritual energy. As kundalini yoga awakens this energy it enhances your awareness and helps you to move past your ego.
Each class is different using a Kriya, or set of specific exercises to create a specific outcome. Using the angles of the body we open the energy channels or chakras. The kundalini energy, which lies dormant at the base of the spine, can then rise and activate the full blossoming of the Kriya. The benefits of Kundalini yoga are many, and typically appear very fast.
